I have found that all failed charges are typically the result of insufficient funds, or an expired or cancelled card. I've never seen it where it simply can't be charged with no reason given.
I don't know if those customers were failed charges as I never got any notifications of failed transactions. I only found out there's a problem because Travis Blake DMed me this evening saying he tried and it wouldn't work for him. He said they wanted more info to turn on paid subscriptions. I'm confused.
I don't get notifications of failed transactions either, but there might be a Stripe setting we could modify to get those. Eventually, a paid subscription will drop and I'll just check Stripe and see why. But as for failing at the time of upgrade, nobody has ever reached out to say it happened.
I didn't dig into notifications to see if there is a way to get those. Although, not sure what action could even be taken with that info so it might not matter. I think most people would just move on, but Travis is a fictionstacker, so we're more likely to reach out to each other and let someone know if there's a problem.
Patricia, I don't have a ton of paid subscribers but I've never heard of somebody trying to become a paid subscriber and not being able to. Then again, what the hell do I know. I do wish you guys the best and hope your husband gets back on his feet quickly. Best wishes. - Jim

Thanks. I was talking with Travis Blake who altered me to it and my hubby, and we're wondering if it was inactivity causing something to expire. I disconnected and reconnected and it's working now.
