I’m popping in with a quick question about paid subscriptions.
Have you tried upgrading to a paid subscription?
I’m asking because a friend messaged me and let me know he tried and couldn’t do it. When I go to my dashboard for Stripe, which is what payments is processed through, it shows me three customers who have never been charged. Paid subscriptions isn’t something I’ve really pushed as the one time I did, I had people get mean to me about it, so I just quietly let it sit there.
Now I’m wondering if people have tried and just been unable to, but I have never gotten a notification of failed attempt. If so, thanks for trying. I’m not sure how to fix it, and with my husband losing his job this past week, I’m a bit upset to think of how people may have tried to support me and just couldn’t.
I have found that all failed charges are typically the result of insufficient funds, or an expired or cancelled card. I've never seen it where it simply can't be charged with no reason given.
Patricia, I don't have a ton of paid subscribers but I've never heard of somebody trying to become a paid subscriber and not being able to. Then again, what the hell do I know. I do wish you guys the best and hope your husband gets back on his feet quickly. Best wishes. - Jim
