The town itself sounds more interesting and real than the squirrel. How does one see a giant squirrel? Regular size green one maybe. Sounds a bit like seeing pink elephants.
Amble deserves an award for most creative cryptid I've ever heard of. I mostly come across bigfoot and goatmen. Any idea when the sightings happened? I love a good ghosttown. Sounds like a fun road trip.
Okay. Time to mount an expedition to Amble! Cryptid investigation is still on an upswing, so we could probably crowdfund enough for basic supplies, some equipment besides that which many folks already own but donβt realize itβs alternative uses, and possibly pay an actual cryptozoologist and biologist to lend the expedition scientific credibility. Time to find the Giant Green Squirrel πΏοΈ!!!!! ππ Funny, yes. But in every bit of joking around is some level of truthβ¦ And I think Iβd actually do it, because it would be fascinating. Educational. Entertaining? Take your pickβ¦

Well, given there seems to be booze involved with most sightings, it sounds about the same as seeing pink elephants.
I saw Bigfoot riding a giant green squirrel once. Maybe the same one?
Maybe a giant green squirrel is Bigfootβs preferred travel method.
Seems reasonable.
If alcohol is involved in the sightings it's most likely the DTs (delirium tremens)...π
I just gotta wonder how much a person has to drink to see a giant green squirrel!
I think it is a squirrel someone cast enlargement spell on.
But what turned it green?
Why, the green bucket-o-paint it colored itself to gain cammo bonus +3 and hide in the forest :D
LOL A ghillie suit might have been easier for the squirrel than trying to paint itself. ;)
Ghillie suit implies said squirrel is intelligent :D

The details on the sightings are pretty scant, and I didn't see any mention of dates.

So, who wants to go?
Sounds like a good time to me!
Iβll keep you posted on a plan, if we ever get one. Maybe we just get on a big bus and go!
Anyone have a big bus they can lend to the excursion? ππΏοΈπ
Somebody for sure need to write a horror novel parody about this guy.
Yes! That would be amazing.
Maybe I'll add it to my list! After all, I only have about five dozen story ideas awaiting my attention.
Whatβs one more then?
