HELLO MY PARANORMAL PEEPS,
I decided it was time to check in with you at the beginning of the month. I’m writing most of the on March 30th, but I’m really hoping to go in and do some edits tomorrow evening because…
Hubby has a job interview!!!!!
It’s kinda sorta a second interview. He was contacted the week before and was asked to fill out a questionnaire and film a little video where he talked about his resume and experience.
A video? This must be a new hoop companies are putting job seekers through. Hubby and I have been reading other people’s job hunting woes and, you guys, some of the BS companies have put people through only to not hire them is ridiculous.
But this is exciting because hubby has been getting a lot of ghosting and rejections. Also, his unemployment benefits have officially run out, so a job sooner than later would be great for our bank account. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

I also decided to email today because it’s my wedding anniversary. Yup, I got married on April Fool’s Day. That’s how I knew hubby was the one. I said, “Let’s get married on April Fool’s Day.” and he said, “Okay.” Let’s hope this company hubby is talking to gives us a nice anniversary present. *winkwink*
To celebrate life looking up, I’m sharing a 100-word story I wrote.
FIRST STEP
She never forgot the first step. The moment she pulled her roots from the ground and moved. It had been exhilarating.
And exhausting.
Willow had collapsed, her newly formed legs shaking to badly to stand.
Timber, she had thought with a weak smile.
Over time, it became easier. Less painful to have her roots out of the ground. Each step more confident. Soon, she was strong enough to march with her fellow trees against the humans. To crush them into the ground where they would be unable to move. Helpless as the trees once had been before that first step.
I hope your 2025 is going well.
Please cross your fingers and toes for hubby in his job hunt. We need all the good vibes we can muster.
