Woot for writing again! I'm glad to hear it. And I, too, take issue with the ethical decisions behind how AI is trained. But it feels a bit like pandora's box has already been opened.

Hooray for writing again! That's so exciting!

I definitely take issue with how AI is being trained.

And I'm so glad you were able to find a job that you're enjoying. Hope you're still feeling that way when winter gets here.

I'm glad you're writing again! And I think the crossing guard job is a great chance to be a small bit of goodness in the lives of the children, so embrace it!

I have a feeling this might be the second time I’ve commented. If so, I’m blaming it on AI ;-)

I appreciate your thoughts on the issue of AI. Sure, there are some helpful aspects, but I wish they’d leave it at that. Best wishes on your draft – and your health ;-)

Thank you for co-hosting!

Congrats on the job and feeling like you're making progress in your writing again. And, yes, I'm with you on AI--the ethics are pretty squishy right now, and there's a lot of potential for exploitation. But, like most new technologies, once we get beyond the frontier stage, the legalities and ethics will settle down.

Yeah the dubious training of the AI on creators’ work without permissions or compensation is really concerning. It’s already impacting artists of all kinds negatively - like ai content flooding and clogging up submission boxes which in turn hurts real writers. Ai content taking commissions away from digital artists. Let the machines make our lives easier, not harder.

Congrats on the job. And writing! Double Woot! I've been playing with AI art, mostly to understand how it works and looks. One thing I've done is make character art. (I stink at people.) I have them in my notes now.

Congratulations on the job!

Someone posted a screen shot of the sites Google AI was using to create and the third blog was hers. Scary.

Sorry so late. I can't seem to get your blog to stick in Feedly and give me updates.
